VietJet named one of Asia's best budget airlines

VietJet Aviation Joint Stock Company has been named among Asia's top 10 Budget Airlines by readers of Smart Travel Asia. Moving up one position this year, the new-age carrier was ranked ninth and placed amongst some of the region's established airlines such as AirAsia, Cebu Pacific and Tiger Airways.


Smart Travel Asia is known to be one of the region's most dedicated online travel magazine with over one million readers worldwide. The SmartTravelAsia.com 2014 Best in Travel Poll, now in its 10th year is a representation of their readers' favourite travel brands. The votes were cast during May to July 2014 by well-travelled and knowledgeable readers who have taken an average of 12 annual trips. The important determinants for each vote was based on the (i) actual use of product, (ii) feedback from friends and colleagues, and (iii) visibility of the brand in their browsing space.

In September this year, VietJet was also named one of the "œTop 10 Most Famous Brands in Vietnam 2014" by the International Intellectual Property Institute and the Vietnam Science and Entrepreneurs Union.


VietJet currently operates 22 domestic and international routes with a fleet capacity of 15 aircraft today. It looks to consistently add innovative and added value services such as inflight duty free shopping. VietJet also offers express check-in at all airports for passengers over 65 years of age, expectant mothers, and families travelling with infants. These passengers are encouraged to approach VietJet's express check-in counters for priority boarding and assistance with carry-on luggage.
