Things to see
Besides the many old colonial buildings of course you can also visit the aptly named Kangaroo Island, where many of this magnificent creatures live. At the Seal Bay Conservation Park you can marvel at another magnificient animal, the walrus. Adelaide is equipped with three lighthouses, they are Cape Willoughby, Cape Borda Lighthouse and Murray Lagoon, each is worth a visit.
Best place for shopping is the Rundle Mall, 500 metres south of Victoria Square. And also if you want to catch some sun, there are some fine beaching close by: Aldinga Beach or Henley Beach are popular destinations for sunbathing, swimming and snorkeling.
Things to eat
What you should try while you are in Adelaide is Vegemite with its unique taste of beansprout poured with salty ketchup, does not sound that tasty, but wait till you tried. Also, as everywhere in Australia you can still your hunger with the popular meat pies.
