Gajah Cave

Gajah Cave is located in Bedulu village, Blahbatuh sub-district, Gianyar district, 26 km away from Denpasar City. Gajah Cave is a cave where you can find some historical inheritances from past time. There are many historical ancient artefacts you can find in the cave. You can also enjoy the beautiful natural atmosphere with paddy fields and rivers around it.

Gajah Cave is divided into 4 different complexes relieves like Ganesha, Trilingga, Petirtaan (bathing place) and Tukad Pangkung Valley where you can find 3 branched of stupa, 13 rows of payung relief and the Buddha statue. The management prepares Kamen (typical Balinese sarong) for you who wear short pants cause you have to suit yourself properly. And there's a prohibition for women who's having their period to enter.

When you are about to enter this "œT"-shaped cave, you will smell typical scent. There's Ganesha statue at the entrance of this cave, and Gajah cave temple at the exit of this cave. Entering this cave, you will go through terraced pavement path so you will be able to see almost entire cave. Entering this cave's yard, you will find a pool which the water is believed as holy water. In front of this pool, you can find some ancient artefacts. There's also an area usually used for ceremonies.
