Things to see
There are many things you can find in Bengkulu. You can visit Panjang Beach, a well-known beach among travellers offering you many interesting things like its beautiful scenery decorated with casuarina trees. Other nature spots you can visit are Pasir Putih Beach, Tikus Island and Dendam Tak Sudah Lake.
If you are looking for some culture you can see Fort Marlborough. According to local citizen, there's an underground exit in this fort. You can also visit the excile house for Bung Karno (the first president of Indonesia) on Soekarno-Hatta Street. Other cultural spots you can visit are Parr and Hamilton Monuments and also Bengkulu Province Museum.
Things to do
Here in Bengkulu City, you can do many interesting activities like seeing the beauty of the biggest flower in the world, the Rafflesia Arnoldy. This flower can be found in Taba Penanjung I and III, Pagar Gunung Village I, II, and III and many other areas. You can also have a historical tour by going to Soekarno-Hatta Street in Anggut Atas village.
Things to eat
One typical food you should have tried while in Bengkulu is pendap. Pendap is made of various spices mixed with coconut, slices of fishes covered with taro leaf and steamed for more than 8 hours making pendap so tasty and delicious. There's also Gulai Kemba'ang made of ribs and various spice. Other local food you can taste are Tempoyak, lemang, Bagar Hiu and Kue Tat.
