Things to see
If you come to Gorontalo, don't forget to visit 65 metres high Menara Keagungan Limboto and consisted of 5 floors. From the top of this building, you can see beautiful scenery surrounding Gorontalo City. If you want something different, you can come to Rumah Adat Bandayo Pomboide (Bandayo Pomboide custom house) located in the front of Gorontalo Mayor's office. This building is usually used to hold traditional show and sendratari (dance-drama). One thing you must see is Fort Orange located in Kwandang sub-district, 61 km away from Gorontalo City. This fort is an inheritance of Portuguese from the 17th century.

One main destination in Gorontalo is Pentadio Resort. This place is an international tourism spot and completed with various facilities where you can swim, sauna bath, fish and many more. Not far from this place, there's Lake Limboto. You can enjoy fishing, swimming or just going around using boat. You can also enjoy the warmth of Lombongo HotWater Bathing Place which will surely make you relaxed.
Things to eat
One typical food of Gorontalo is Binthe Biluhita, usually known as Muli Siram. This food is a kind of soup consisted of sweet corn, skipjack fish, grated coconut, basil leaves and lime. There's also Ayam Iloni is made of chicken cooked with typical spice of Gorontalo and coconut milk then roasted resulting such a delicious aroma.
