KA Gumarang travels between Surabaya (SBI) and Jakarta (PSE).
Gumarang train is a business executive class train serving Stasiun Pasar Senen - Pasar Turi Surabaya. At first, this train was a business class train with the name of Jayabaya Utara train. Gumarang train was officially begun its operation on May 20th, 2001. The name Gumarang is taken from the name of a bull or jungle-ox describing gallant and brave animals. This train serves a distance of about 725 kilometers taken in about eleven hours. This train consists of two to four executive class carriages and four to six business-class carriages with a carrying capacity of 488 passengers. During its journey, Gumarang train will stop at some stations including Cirebon Station, Tegal, Pekalongan, Semarang, Cepu and Bojonegoro.
