Mandala Airlines will start flying again next week after a year long absence due to financial problems. Now with new money and it's new partner, Tiger Airways, it will start flying on Jakarta - Medan twice-daily on April 5. Tickets Jakarta - Medan can be bought on their website for the opening price of Rp. 519.900 since yesterday.


More routes will be added later as Mandala plans to fly to domestic and international destination within a five hour flight from Jakarta. On May 4 Mandala will start flying on the popular Jakarta - Kuala Lumpur route also with very cheap special ticket prices prices of Rp. 329.900 one way. Best to book fast before prices go up again.


As a partner of Tiger Airways a few things have changed at Mandala, most notably there is no free checked baggage anymore: as with other low-cost airlines like AirAsia and JetStar you have to pay extra for checked baggage. Mandala has now 5 brand new Airbus A320 aircraft and more will be added later as Mandala will fly to more destinations. Of course, you will find these future new Mandala flights here on utiket.com.
