Chennai

Chennai is the state capital of Tamil Nadu, India as well as being the fourth largest metropolitan city in India. It is located on the Coromandel Coast region which is divided into four sections namely north, south, central and western. The northern part of the city is famous for its industrial area, while the center serves as a business and commercial district. The west and south of the city are mostly used as a residential area. Things to see

There are several amusement parks that exist in this city, one of which you can try to visit is Dash N Splash. The park is located about 30 kilometers from Chennai city center. This park is one of the ideal spot for a picnic with family. Also visit one of the city's famous places, Crocodile Bank. Location of this site is about 44 kilometers downtown Chennai. Various types of crocodiles and other reptiles can be seen here. This place does serve as a place to preserve endangered species of crocodile. Additionally, you can still visit the historic sites such as Santhome Cathedral Basilica with a charming form of the building, the Church of St. Mary which was built in 1678-1680 AD, and the Velankanni Church.

One quite popular beach in this region is Covelong Beach. The beach is located about 40 kilometers from Chennai city center. Atmosphere of the beach was fairly quiet and could be a suitable place to eliminate the fatigue of all the routines. The palm trees are also adorned this beach scene. You also can fish, swim and even dive here. Another interesting beach is Elliot Beach in Besant Nagar, or about 60 kilometers from Chennai city center. Environment in the beach is quite comfortable and kept clean. The beach is also visited by many tourists. One more beach you must visit is the Marina Beach located just three kilometers from Chennai city center.

There are many interesting and looks delicious food that you can eat here. One of the famous food in India and even the world which you can find in this city is Nasi Briyani. As the name, the food is made from rice mixed of course with a variety of spices, vegetables and meat. It's almost similar to the fried rice but with different flavor and processing. Enjoy the Chapati, a food made from wheat flour and salt baked with a grill made of clay. And after being cooked, the food is usually eaten with curried meat or vegetable curry.
