Things to see
There are several festivals that you can see during a visit to this city, like City Fiesta held every third Sunday in January each year or Megayon Festival held every September each year. Being in Pagadian Rotonda, a circular garden located in Bulatoc hill, you can see the beautiful view of Illana Bay from above. If you pay a visit to the Provincial Government Complex then you can look at cultural village that contains a variety of homes from every town in Zamboanga del Sur Province. In this same complex you can also see a monument called The Unity Park, a monument to harmony of three religion who live in Pagadian. While at Plaza Luz, you could see Pagadian Musical Dancing Fountain which is a fountain dancing with colorful lights and interesting musical accompaniment.

There are many places ideal to play water. You can do swimming, boating and fishing in Dao Dao Islands. Muricay Beach and Putting Balas or commonly called as White Sand is also a place that you can visit for water play. There are also several waterfalls with interesting surrounding views to visit, such as Pulacan Falls, Lison Valley Waterfalls, Lourdes Waterfalls and Ditoray Waterfalls. While in Manga Falls, in addition to a waterfall there is also a cave called as Twin Caves that you can explore. Kendis Cave is also a cave that you can explore, but you have to ride a horse to reach this cave. You can also climb Mt. Palpalan up to the top. From this mountain you can see an amazing view of Pagadian City. Mt. Susong Dalaga and Mt. Pinokis are two other mountain ready to be conquered. Do not forget to visit Gaisano Capital Pagadian if you want to shop. This place is the biggest mall in Pagadian City that was once a historic Shopping Center.

It is not difficult to hunt for the city's culinary. For you fans of processed chicken, you can try the delights of Kamayan sa Pagadian, better known by the name Chicken Ati - atihan.
