Puerto Princesa is the capital of Palawan Island Province, Philippines. It is located about 306 miles to the southwest of Manila. The city is directly facing to South China Sea. The city is the largest city in the Philippines and several times had received an award as the cleanest and greenest city in the Philippines. Things to see

One of the famous sights that can be visited is Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park. This place is located about 181 kilometers to the southeast of the city center. There are many rare species that you can see in this place. Also visit the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park. This place is known as the location of an underground river and is one of the world heritage sites. You can see a beautiful collection of stalactite and stalagmite formations here. One food you can taste in this town is Sinigang, a Philippine-style traditional soup. This food usually has a sour taste because it contains fruits such as lemon, mango and star fruit. The character is similar to sour vegetable in Indonesia. Another food is Pinakbet, a food with vegetables such as eggplant, squash, tomatoes as its main ingredients coupled with shrimp or fish paste. For snacks you can try Bibingka, a rice cake with extra white cheese, sugar and grated coconut. This cake is usually served to welcome the arrival of Christmas. For types of drinks, you can try Halo-halo, a seductive Philippine-style iced beverages containing jackfruit, banana, coconut meat, purple potatoes, sticky rice, corn and added with milk and ice cream.
