The Xi'an Xianyang International Airport serves the city of Xi'an in northwest China. It is China's 8th busiest airport with 25 million passengers. The airport opened in 1991 on a former military airfield replacing the old Xian Xiguan Airport. Several construction phases have since been carried out and now the airport consists of two runways and three terminals and it is one of the airports that can handle the Airbus A380 Superjumbo.
