The Dunedin Airport or locally known as Momona airport is an international airport serving Dunedin City and the greater Otago Region on the South Island of New Zealand.
The airport has one combined terminal building for both international and domestic flights. Several airlines fly to Dunedin Airport: Air New Zealand flies to Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington, Jetstar Airways to Auckland and Wellington, Kiwi flies to Hamilton, Nelson and Tauranga and Virgin Australia to Brisbane.
Dunedin International Airport is not a large airport so there are not many flights departing here. There are only a few destinations that you can reach from Dunedin International Airport, most of these are operated by Air New Zealand. Many people take a flight to Auckland and transfer to another flight there.
The Dunedin Airport is located 25 km west of the Dunedin CBD.
Many car rental agencies have an office here giving you lots of choice. Taxis are available outside the terminal on a dedicated taxi rank. A taxi ride into Dunedin would cost you around $90. There is a shuttle service into the city as well called Super Shuttle. Best to prebook them. Tickets become cheaper when more passengers join but starting at $30 it is still cheaper than a taxi.
