Aalborg Airport (AAL)

Aalborg

Aalborg Airport is located near the village of Norresundby, Northern Denmark about 7 km northwest of the city of Aalburg. Aalburg Airport is the third largest airport in Denmark serving over one million passengers per year.
Aalburg Airport was opened in 1938 as the second national airport, after Copenhagen. Just a few years later, during World War II, the airport was occupied and used as a military airfield for the Luftwaffe. After the war the airport was transformed to civilian use again and saw a slow and steady growth. In 2001 the current terminal building was build and enlarged in later years.

Aalborg Airport

How to get from the airport to Aalborg city centre by public transport?

There is a plan to connect the Airport to the rail network, but this will not open until 2019, at least. Until then you can either take the taxi, bus or walk. A taxi into the city would cost about Kr. 200. There are several buses into the city during the day; take line 22 in the late night. The ride will take just 15 minutes and a ticket would cost about Kr. 22 and can be bought inside the bus.
