The Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is the international airport serving Nice, the Côte d'Azur and the city-state of Monaco. The airport is with over 11 million passengers a year the third-busiest airport in France and is a hub for Air France and easyJet. The airport is used by many tourists heading for the Mediterranean coast of France.
Most flights from Nice Côte d'Azur Airport are to Amsterdam and to London but there are many more flights to other destinations as well, most of them by KLM Cityhopper. Every day there are flights to 15 destinations from Nice Côte d'Azur Airport. Here are the most popular destinations:
The airport has two terminals which are linked by free shuttles buses. Most airlines use the older Terminal 1, while easyJet and Air France (and its partners) use Terminal 2.
The airport is located just 7 km west of the city center of Nice and 20 km west of Monaco.
The cheapest way to get to central Nice is by local bus: lines 23 and 52 depart from Terminal 1 form early morning till around 8 pm, and will take you for 1.50 euro in 20 minutes to the city.
Express buses (lines 98 and 99) also depart to the city which are faster but with 6 euro more expensive, still they are a good option in the evening when the local buses do not operate anymore.
Other regional destinations like Monaco and Cannes can be reached by train. There is a small train station (Nice St. Augustin) near the airport, about 500 meter walk away.
Taxis to Nice are about 30 euro while a taxi to Monaco can easily reach 90 euros.
