Things to see
There are many festivals often held in this city. One of them is Kahimunan Festival which is usually held every third Sunday in January. There is also The Cultural Festival which is usually held on the last Sunday in July and August 2nd to coincide with the celebration of the Charter Day of Butuan. Not only that, there are a few museums that can be visited. One of them is Balangay Shrine Museum. There are many historical relics that you can see here.

Mayapay mountain is one of the attractions that can be visited for you who like mountain climbing. The mountain is located on the southwest of the Agusan Valley with about 675 meters above sea level, while Delta Discovery Park is a park with a natural beauty that can be visited. You can also visit Nipa Wine Distillery where you can taste the famous local wines and called by the local people with the name Laksoy. For those of you who want to pamper themselves with spa treatments and massages, you can come to a health center in this city. One of them is the Grand Royal Spa.
Things to eat
One of the city's favorite food is Palagsing, a kind of rice cake just the main ingredient to make is not with rice but sago. Pancit Guisado which is one of the specialties of the Philippines also you can get in this town. The food is made from rice noodles with sliced prime beef, carrots, cabbage, as well as some typical Filipino flavor. You can also taste Chicken Tinola Soup in this city. The food is made from chicken slices with major extra slice of papaya leaves, young spinach leaves, fish sauce and some other spices that will certainly arouse your taste buds.
