Antalya Airport is the third busiest airport in Turkey. Antalya Airport is especially busy in the summer months when many tourists use Antalya Airport to get to Turkeys Mediterranean coast. In a year over 25 million passengers use Antalya, most of them international passengers. The war in nearby Syria and terror attacks in Turkey itself has scared away many tourists causing a drop of 48% of international passengers in 2016.
The airport was opened in 1998 and has three terminals: two international terminals and a domestic terminal. Terminal 1 is now the only International terminal in use while Terminal 2 is under renovation.
Antalya Airport is located 13 km northeast of the city of Antalya.
A public bus (line 600) departs from the domestic terminal to the Antalya main bus station Terminal Otogar from where you can switch to another bus to the city center. You need to buy a payment card from the driver for TL 10. From the international terminal Havas buses depart for the city as well which cost TL 10.
A taxi from the airport to the city will cost about TL 40.
