Cauayan Airport serves the city of Cauayan and the surrounding area in Isabela Province. It is a small airport with only a few flights a day.
Until fairly recently the airport wasn't used at all after a fatal crash with Asian Spirit flight 100 in 1999. For almost ten years the airport was closed for commercial flights. Flights commenced again in 2008 by a PAL Express flight to Manila. Currently only Cebu Pacific offers direct flights to Manila.
Cauayan Airport is located only 1 kilometers southwest from Cauayan city center.
Public transport is limited to jeepneys and tricycles. Taxis are not available.
