Taksaka is an executive class train serving Yogyakarta - Jakarta Gambir route and vice versa during the day. Taksaka train was first launched on September 19th, 1999. Then on October 17th, 2001, Taksaka II train was launched. Up to now there are two options of Taksaka train offering two alternative journeys, ie during the day and night. The name Taksaka itself comes from another name of a kind and caring dragon in shadow-puppet story.
Taksaka train, the routes served are from Tugu Station Yogyakarta-Gambir Station Jakarta and vice versa. Taksaka will stop at several stations during its journey including Kutoarjo Station, Gombong, Purwokerto, Cirebon and Jatinegara Station.
Taksaka Pagi train consists of eight executive class train carriages with a capacity of 416 passenger seats. As an executive class train, this train provides several facilities such as two air conditioning installations in each carriage, toilets, audio and video facilities, a comfortable interior design and passenger seat equipped with a folding table and a footrest installation.
