The History of Lion Air

Lion Air is the name of one quite popular airline in Indonesia. Lion Air serves domestic and international flights. Lion Air as the airline's renowned low cost, however best service remains a priority. Lion Air was the first airline in Indonesia using the aircraft type Boeing 737-900ER with a considerable fleet.
Lion Air began from a dream and ambition of two brothers named Kusnan and Rusdi Kirana who want to have the airlines. They began to realize their dreams with an initial capital of ten million U.S. dollars. By law, Lion Air was established in October 1999, but the operation could be run on June 30th 2000. Until now one of Lion Air owners Rusdi Kirana holds the position as President and Director.
Since it was first established, Lion Air always takes steps and policies to commercialize affordable Lion Air ticket prices for passengers in Asia in general. Lion Air has developed rapidly in each year. Although only preceded by limited capital but Lion Air grows into one of the counted airlines in Indonesia.
Though there were many things happened, as we know like some flight accidents happened, Lion Air is still well received by flight customers in Asia. All those things do not preclude Lion Air for growing and continuing forward. Lion at this year took a very important decision and it was surprising for Indonesian airlines for buying 234 aircrafts from Airbus. The purchase is the history of civil aviation not only in Indonesia but also in the world.
