The airport is located on the mainland and you can get to Venice itself by bus, taxi or watertaxi. Other destinations are reachable by the nearby train station.
The ATVO and ACTV public buses depart from the terminal to the Piazzale Roma in Venice every 15 to 30 minutes. The trip will take about 20 minutes and a one-way ticket costs 8 euro which you can buy online or with the driver.

How much does a taxi cost from the airport to Venice city centre?

The watertaxi for four persons to central Venice can cost about 100 to 150 euro. It departs about 1 km from the airport: outside the terminal turn left to the boat departure point (Darsena Docks). Free trolleys for your luggage are available. A shared watertaxi is also possible: this will cost 35 euro per passenger but you need to wait till the boat is full (max. 10 people).
A normal taxi will cost about 45 euro and will take 20 minutes.
