The Queenstown International Airport is located about 6 km east of the city center.
Queenstown Airport is one of the few airports in New Zealand which has a public bus stop. Several bus companies offer services here. Connectabus connects the airport to Queenstown, departing every 15 minutes ($ 12 per adult) or to Wanaka twice daily ($ 35). Alpine Connections also has services (4x daily) to Wanaka.
Super Shuttle offers a shared door-to-door shuttle service using mini-coach for a maximum of 11 people (around $8 if there are enough people). A taxi into town would cost about $ 20 to 25.
