A recent upgrade in 2010 improved the terminal and extended the runway to 2km, enough for jet aircraft to land and take-off. Although the airport only handles just over 100.000 passengers a year, the terminal is modern and spacious with a cafe, ATM and few shops. Currently only QantasLink offers four flights a day from Bundaberg to Brisbane.
