About JetStar Asia

JetStar Asia is a Singapore-based low-cost airline owned half by Qantas, the national airline of Australia, which also owns JetStar Airways. While JetStar Airways focus on destinations and routes from and within Australia, JetStar Asia offers flights from Singapore to regional destinations to most countries in Southeast Asia including Thailand, China, Philippines and Vietnam and it can offer transfer flights from these countries for destinations in Australia by using JetStar Airways flights.

JetStar Asia started operating late 2004 and after several difficult years it is now making a profit and slowly extending it route network. In 2006 JetStar Asia merged with Singapore-based ValuAir.

JetStar Asia flies to over 32 destinations. Most JetStar Asia flights are for destinations in Indonesia but JetStar Asia has international flights to several other countries as well, like for example Thailand and Philippines. From its main base in Singapore 80 flights depart every week. Many people who look for JetStar Asia tickets look for flights to Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok.

Cancellations, name changes and refunds

The rules for cancellations and JetStar flight changes depend on the type of ticket you buy. For the cheapest fare types, JetSaver and JetPlus, no cancellations or route changes are possible. Change of flight date and passenger name are allowed, but only 24 hours before departure and for a certain fee.

For the more expensive fare types, JetFlex and International StarClass, you can cancel your ticket, make changes to your route, flight date and passenger names on the ticket.
