Bintulu is a town in the state of Sarawak, Malaysia. The airport is small and has only domestic connections to Kuching or Kuala Lumpurs KLIA airport. The airport is only 5km south west of the city.
Bintulu Airport is not a large airport so there are not many flights departing here. There are only a few destinations that you can reach from Bintulu Airport, most of these are operated by Malaysia Airlines. Many people take a flight to Kuala Lumpur and transfer to another flight there.
Bintulu Airport is loacted about 5 km southwest of Bintulu center, on the main road to Tatau. The distance by road to Bintulu is well over 20 km though.
Taxi's to the city cost a fixed RM 35 at the taxi coupon stand outside Arrivals. There are no buses at this airport.
