Etihad Airways is the national airline of the United Arab Emirates and its second-largest airline after Emirates. The airline was founded in 2003 by the Sheikh of Abu Dhabi who saw the major success of Emirates and wanted an airline for Abu Dhabi. With a massive investment Etihad was able to place orders for Boeing and Airbus aircraft of $8 billion just a year after it was formed. In 2008, just five years into existence, the airline announced the then largest airline order in history for 205 aircraft.
Not only did Etihad spend a lot of money on aircraft it also bought large stakes in several airlines. Etihad now is part owner of Air Berlin, Air Serbia, Jet Airways, Alitalia and Darwin Airline.

Name changes are allowed but only in case you made a typo or your name changed due to a divorce or marriage. You would need to contact Etihad and pay the fee of US $100.
