Where is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport located?

Nataji Sbuha Chandra Bose International Airport is located within the city, about 17 km to the northeast from Kolkata city center.

How to get from the airport to Kolkata city centre by public transport?

There is a rail link from the airport's Biman Bandar station to Dum Dum but not many trains operate and it is not used by many passengers. Better to take the airport shuttle bus. The WBSTC operates air-conditioned buses on five different routes for a fare of up to Rs 60 to the city centre. Best tell the driver your destination and he will tell if his bus is the best one. You can find the buses outside the arrival gate at the domestic terminal. Unfortunately this means that if you arrive on an international flight you need to walk about 800 meters to the domestic terminal. Ignore the many touts saying the bus does not operate anymore and who try to talk you into taking a taxi.

How much does a taxi cost from the airport to Kolkata city centre?

Prepaid taxis can be booked at one of the booths inside the arrival hall. Expect to pay about Rs 250 for a destination in the city center.
