Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport, previously known as Lisbon Portela Airport is the largest airport of Portugal, serving the capital Lisbon. In 2016 the airport was renamed from Lisbon Pertola to Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport in honor of the late Portugese air force general and politician.

The airport has two passenger terminals. Terminal 2 is the latest and smallest and is used mainly by low-cost airlines like Ryanair and easyJet. Terminal 2 only has basic facilities and a few shops. Terminal 1 is the main terminal and is used by all other airlines for flights to the Schengen area and long-distance international flights.
The airport is located inside the city, just 7 km north from central Lisbon.
The airport is connected to the city's metro network making the best way to get into the city by metro. One-way fare to any place in Lisbon is 1.90 euro, a day pass costs 6 euro. Normally you should be able to be in Lisbon center within a half hour.
Aerobus runs direct shuttle buses to the main tourist spots in Lisbon. A ticket cost 3.50 euro. You can also take the local bus which costs 1.75 euro for one-way ticket. Bus line 208 runs all night. Be aware you are not allowed to take large suitcases inside local buses.

Taxis are famously untrustworthy at the Lisbon Airport taxi stand, so be cautious. Normally, a taxi into the city should cost about 10 euro and should always use the meter.
