The Ningbo Lishe International Airport is a fairly new airport; it opened in 1985 and is one of China's fastest growing airports with passenger numbers going up by 20% a year.
Currently more than 16 airlines fly to Ningbo Lishe Airport offering flights to 40 domestic destinations and several international ones (Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Seoul and Macau).
Ningbo Lishe International Airport is not a large airport so there are not many flights departing here. There are only a few destinations that you can reach from Ningbo Lishe International Airport, most of these are operated by China Eastern Airlines. Many people take a flight to Taipei and transfer to another flight there.
The new Ningbo Lishe International Airport was built just 15 kilometers southwest from the Ningbo city center.
The airport is located fairly close to the city and a taxi for the 10 km ride into town will cost around RMB 50. A shuttle bus is available as well: it runs to and from the airport to the South Ningbo Railway Station. It departs every hour until 18:00 and costs RMB 10.
