Pagadian Airport is a small, domestic only, airport located in Barangay Muricay serving the city of Pagadian and its surrounding areas.
In 2006, the airport and its facilities were redeveloped at a cost of PHP 379.46 million (8.72 million dollars) completed in December 2009. Subsequently the airport reopened for commercial flights on 27 April 2010 with the first flight of Cebu Pacific flying from Cebu to Pagadian city.
Pagadian Airport is not a large airport so there are not many flights departing here. There are only a few destinations that you can reach from Pagadian Airport, most of these are operated by CebGo. Many people take a flight to Cebu and transfer to another flight there.
Pagadian Airport is only about five kilometers east from downtown Pagadian, on the other side of the Fish ponds.
There are no taxis in the area of Pagadian, most public transport is done by the uniquely styled tricycles. A ride from the airport to the city by tricycle would cost about PHP 50.
