Scoot is a low-cost airline based in Singapore focusing on medium to long-haul flights to mainly Australia and China with a fleet of six Boeing 777 aircraft. Scoot is part of Singapore Airlines and was established in 2011 with its first flight in June 2012 to Sydney from Singapore. Scoot added several destinations quickly and now flies to several destinations in Australia and China as well as to Taipei, Bangkok and Hong Kong.
Scoot has a partnership deal with Tiger Airways, another Singapore Airlines subsidiary, where passengers can buy a ticket combining a Scoot and a Tiger flight. Passengers can buy either on the Scoot website as well as on Tiger Airways website.
As a low-cost airline Scoot does not offer any in-flight meals or entertainment though an Ipad can be rented and meals and drinks can be purchased in the airplane. Scoot offers several classes, the ScootBiz class and three economy classes. Standard Economy seats have a 31 inch seat pitch. The Super seats have 35 inch pinch while the S-t-r-e-t-c-h seats are the same as Super seats but are in front of each section so there will not be anybody in front of you providing more leg space.
