The Shah Amanat International Airport, or formerly known as MA Hannan International Airport, is the second largest airport of Bangladesh although the airport only handles about 1.5 million passengers a year. While the terminal is modern and convenient with adequate facilities, there are no hotels in the neighborhood.
The Chittagong International Airport has one terminal divided into two parts, domestic and a larger international part. The airport is well connected to international destinations in neighboring countries like Kolkata, Delhi, Bangkok, Dubai, Kuwait and Kuala Lumpur but has only one domestic route to the capital Dhaka.
Shah Amanat International Airport is located 20 km west of the port city of Chittagong in southern Bangladesh.
Taxis and buses are available at the Shah Amanat Airport. You can find both in front of the terminal. Considering the affordable prices for taxis in Bangladesh and the often crowded buses it is probably best to take a taxi. But if you are on a budget, you can take a bus.
