Krabi International Airport is a small airport handling under a million passengers a year. Flying to Krabi is convenient if you are visiting the nearby tourist destinations Ao Nang or Had Yao.
Krabi International Airport is not a large airport so there are not many flights departing here. There are only a few destinations that you can reach from Krabi International Airport, most of these are operated by Scoot-Tiger. Many people take a flight to Singapore and transfer to another flight there.
Krabi International Airport is located 10 km east from Krabi city, 40 km east from Ao Nang Beach and 23 km north from Had Yao.
You can take the air-conditioned airport busses heading for Krabi (90 baht), Ao Nang (150 baht) and Noppharat Thara beach (150 baht). Songthaews to Krabi town (40 baht) depart at the main road in front of the terminal, so you have to walk a bit (400 meters). On the way to the airport the songthaew will drop you at the departure terminal.
Taxis to Krabi would cost around 150 baht, and around 600 baht to Ao Nang Beach.
