Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD) is a public airport located in Winnebago County, Illinois, United States. The airport was established in 1946 as Camp Grant Airport and was later renamed Greater Rockford Airport. In 1987, the airport was renamed Chicago Rockford International Airport to reflect its growing importance as a regional airport.
