Zvartnots International Airport is located near Zvartnots about ten kilometers west of Yerevan, the Armenian capital. The airport was inaugurated in 1961 and renovated in 1980. The airport has three terminals, namely: Terminal one, built in 1971 and closed in 2011, Terminal two, with two buildings consist of buildings arrival and departure building. Each operation since 2006 and 2011. The third terminal is the VIP terminal. In 2014, Zvartnots airport had 2,045,058 passengers and 10,409 aircraft movements, an increase of 20.9% and 19.3% from the previous years.

The Václav Havel Airport Prague, previously Prague Ruzyne Airport, is the international airport of Prague, located about 20 km northwest of the city. It is the busiest of the former East-European communist countries. The Prague Airport is the main base for Czech Airlines and a hub for low cost carriers Wizz Air and Ryanair. The airport was a major scene in the 1968 Soviet led occupation of Czechoslovakia to end the Prague Spring. The airport was captured in the early hours of the invasion. A special flight from Moscow carried more than 100 agents who quickly secured the airport and prepared the way for the airlift which carried Soviet troops and tanks to Prague Airport.
