Townsville Airport (TSV)

Townsville

Townsville International Airport or also called Garbutt Airport is a large regional airport in Queensland, Australia, used for both civial scheduled flights and by the Royal Australian Air Force. The airport is located just 4km west of the Townsville CBD.
Until the 1980s Townsville offered several international destinations, but due to airline insolvency and restructering, all international flights were eventually suspended leaving the airport with domestic flights only. Recently, in 2015, JetStar used the international status to commence a three-weekly international flight service to Denpasar airport in Bali.
Townsville Airport is used by up to 9 airlines offering flights to all major airports in Australia, like Darwin, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Cairns.
