Husein Sastranegara International Airport (BDO) is located near Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The airport is named after an Indonesian hero from West Java. Bandung is an hub for AirAsia and connects Bandung with Kuala Lumpur, Medan, Denpasar and Singapore amongst others.
The Governor of West Java announced that there will be new airport built to replace Husein Sastranegara International Airport, named Bandung Majalengka International Airport. It would be located in Kertajati, Majalengka Regency, some 100 kilometers east of Bandung. It will open in 2018.
Husein Sastranegara International Airport is not a large airport so there are not many flights departing here. There are only a few destinations that you can reach from Husein Sastranegara International Airport, most of these are operated by Wings Air. Many people take a flight to Surabaya and transfer to another flight there.
