Glasgow Airport, or formerly Abbotsinch Airport, is the main international airport serving Glasgow together with Glasgow Prestwick Airport, which is mainly for low-cost flights. It is the second largest airport of Scotland, after Edinburgh Airport.
The airport has reached it maximum capacity and is unable to grow further as it is constrained by motorways and rivers around it. Edinburgh Airport has recently overtaken Glasgow Airport as the busiest Scottish Airport. Glasgow still has more long-haul intercontinental flights.
