Hobart International Airport (HBA)

Hobart International Airport serves Hobart, the capital of Tasmania and is for domestic flights only as the only international flight to New Zealand terminated in 1998. You can however fly to Antarctica (with Skytraders) from Hobart.

With the recent growth of low-cost airlines in Australia, Hobart Airport has seen surge in arrivals as all Australian low-cost airlines operate flights to Hobart, significantly reducing the cost of a ticket. Jetstar, Tiger Air and Virgin Australia operate flights between Hobart and their hubs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney which makes Hobart easily reachable from most cities in Australia with just one transfer.
