Singapore is a major international transportation hub in Asia, positioned on many sea and air trade routes. Singapore Changi Airport hosts a network of 100 airlines connecting Singapore to 380 cities in 90 countries.
Changi Airport has two runways and four passenger terminals which are connected by free shuttle buses or SkyTrain.
Changi Airport is located in the east corner of the island, about 15 km from downtown Singapore (Marina Bay).
Singapore has an excellent public transport system and efficient taxi's. At Terminal 2 is an MRT station, easily connecting you to the city. Buses leave also from Terminal 2, in the basement. The bus system is a bit complicated if you have never been to Singapore before. If you arrive on the Terminal 4 there is a free shuttle bus that can take you to Terminal 2, from which you can take the MRT or Skytrains to other Terminals if you have a connecting flight with another airline.
