Garuda Indonesia airline starts flying to Timor-Leste

Indonesian airline Garuda Indonesia plans to launch flights to Timor-Leste (East Timor) on 1 July after it was authorised by the Timorese government to do so, the director of National Civil Aviation, Romaldo António da Silva said.
Merpati Nusantara Airlines, another Indonesian airline suspended flights to Timor-Leste at the beginning of the year due to internal problems, and Garuda Indonesia will now provide a three-way route between Bali, Dili and Darwin, in Australia.
