Jakarta. National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia is mulling over a possible joint venture plan with Air France-KLM in the company's ambitious quest to expand internationally.
"œWe will do it step-by-step. It takes roughly two years to plan a joint venture. The earliest would be in 2017," said Suranto, head of SkyTeam Alliance and Interline Cooperation Management at Garuda Indonesia, to reporters on Friday in Jakarta.
A joint venture between airlines would improve cost-efficiency with greater reach as global demands continue to grow in the future, according to Suranto.
