Syamsuddin Noor (BDJ) airport is a medium size airport half an hour drive (26km) from the south-east of Banjarmasin city. It is one of the few Indonesian airports which can handle wide-body jets like the Boeing 767, the first one landed here in 2004.

There are no buses at the airport. But if you walk about 2 minutes to the street outside of the airport, you should be able to share a mini-van (angkot) heading to the Terminal Induk KM 6 which costs just Rp. 15.000.
