Gladstone Airport is owned and operated by Gladstone Regional Council and serves Gladstone, Queensland, Australia. It is the 27th busiest airport in Australia with over 240,000 passengers a year. In 2008 the airport was redeveloped which was completed in 2011. The airport gained the Regional Airport of the Year Award as the best airport on November 16th, 2011. The operating airlines on the airport are Virgin Australia (Brisbane) and QantasLink (Brisbane, Sidney, Cairns, Mackay, Rockhampton and Townsville).
Gladstone Airport is located about 10 km from the city center of Gladstone. Busses are available at the airport but these operate only on Monday-Friday at 6am up to 6pm. Alternatively, you can take a taxi or hire a car which can be found easily at the airport.
