Stuttgart Airport has a single runway and four passenger terminals, but which are connected on the airside part (after customs). So the four different terminals are mainly just different check-in areas. Terminal 1 is mainly used by Lufthansa and Germanwings, which also uses the small Terminal 2.

The best way to get into Stuttgart is by the S-Bahn (commuter rail). The S-Bahn station has the name Flughaven and is located in Terminal 1, on Level 1. Train lines S2 and S3 will bring you within an half hour to Stuttgart central station (Hauptbahnhof). Tickets can be bought at the vending machines and need to be validated with a time stamp at the orange boxes on the platform; a one-way ticket costs 4 euro.
