Flights for Manokwariare are served by the Rendani Airport (MKW). The Rendani Airport is one of the busiest in West Papua. Manokwari can be accessed directly by airplanes from several major cities in Indonesia such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Makassar, Manado and Jayapura.
Rendani Airport is not a large airport so there are not many flights departing here. There are only a few destinations that you can reach from Rendani Airport, most of these are operated by Super Air Jet. Many people take a flight to Makassar and transfer to another flight there.
The Rendani airport has one runway and a new (2013), modern terminal.
The airport is located within the city, on the Jl. Trikora Rendani, just 5 kilometers southwest of the center.
Some public vans (Rp. 4,000) pass here too, bound for Terminal Wosi. From Wosi get another to Terminal Sanggeng on the western side of Teluk Sawaisu, then another (or walk) to Kota.
An Ojek cost Rp. 15,000 to or from the airport.
You can get a taxi to town on the road outside the airport for Rp. 50,000.
