The Auckland Airport (formerly called Auckland International Airport and also locally known as Mangere Airport) is the main gateway into New Zealand. With well over 16 million passengers a year it is the largest and busiest airport in New Zealand as well as one of the busiest in the Pacific Region.
Auckland Airport is not a large airport so there are not many flights departing here. There are only a few destinations that you can reach from Auckland Airport, most of these are operated by Air New Zealand. Many people take a flight to Perth and transfer to another flight there.
