The Gimhae International Airport, also known as Kimhae International airport, is located west of the main city of Busan in South Korea. The Gimhae Airport is the third largest of Korea with a few domestic flights to Seoul and Jeju and many international destinations to all major cities in Asia. The airport opened in 1976 and the new international terminal opened in 2007 and has about 10 million passengers a year. The airport is relatively small and old, especially compared to Incheon airport (one of the best airports in the world). There are plans to build a whole new airport on the island of Gadeok-do as Gimhae airport has no room for expansion and is also used by the Air Force. There are two terminals, a domestic one and international situated next to each other. Both have all basic facilities like ATMs, restaurants and shops.
