The Stockholm Arlanda Airport is with 25 million passengers a year Swedish largest airport.
The airport officially opened in 1962 but most flights still used the old Bromma airport. Only intercontinental flights were moved to the new Arlanda Airport because of the longer runway at Arlanda. By 1983 all domestic traffic also had moved to Arlanda Airport.
Stockholm Arlanda Airport is not a large airport so there are not many flights departing here. There are only a few destinations that you can reach from Stockholm Arlanda Airport, most of these are operated by SAS Scandinavian Airlines. Many people take a flight to Paris and transfer to another flight there.
