Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN)

Stockholm

The Stockholm Arlanda Airport is with 25 million passengers a year Swedish largest airport.
The airport officially opened in 1962 but most flights still used the old Bromma airport. Only intercontinental flights were moved to the new Arlanda Airport because of the longer runway at Arlanda. By 1983 all domestic traffic also had moved to Arlanda Airport.

How many runways and passenger terminals does Stockholm Arlanda Airport have?

Arlanda Airport has three runways and four terminals and is capable of handling the largest wide-body aircraft like the Airbus A380. Terminals 3 and 4 are used for domestic flights while terminals 2 and 5 are for international flights.
The close proximity to the Baltic Sea and cold air from the north causes heavy snowfall in the winter months. Arlanda has the policy to never close, even in the midst of heaviest snowfall.
