Abdul Rachman Saleh Airport (MLG) is a small airport serving Malang. The airport is named after the Indonesian aviator and physiologist whose plane was shot down by the Dutch when landing in Maguwo Airfield (now Adisucipto International Airport) in Yogyakarta during the Indonesian independence war.

Abdul Rachman Saleh Airport has one runway which was extended to 2300 meters in 2012, enabling the airport to receive larger aircraft like the B737. The airport has one new passenger terminal which opened in 2011.
The Abdul Rachman Saleh Airport is located just outside the city, about 12 km northeast of Malang city center.

The Taxi counter is available near the arrival hall, and the fare is fixed depending your destination, expect to pay about Rp. 70.000 to get to Malang center.
